Context of reporting

The media’s own initiative to report has declined slightly against the 2019 level by 2% on average. Newspapers have registered the most substantial decrease, with a 5% drop. Implicitly, the official calendar events have become even more dominant than previously reported. The implication is that, in general, the media in the country have recourse to fewer resources to enable them to further develop and follow up their own reporting ideas. Only radio programmes show improved performance on this parameter (see chapter on radio).
